Date | Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time | 10:00AM - 3:30PM
Location | Julie Nolan Jewelry, 40 Main Street, Amherst MA
A full day of botanical creativity at Julie Nolan Jewelry in Amherst. Morning brings a hands-on pressed flower art workshop with Linda Ruel Flynn of Flora-ly Studios. After a lunch break to explore the town, Sarah Yeager of Bloom Lab guides you through crafting your own custom natural Eau de Parfum. Art, nature, and self-expression — all in one beautiful day.
THE SCHEDULE
PRESSED FLOWER ART WORKSHOP | 10:00AM - 12:00PM | Instructed by Linda Ruel Flynn of Flora-ly Studios
Discover the delicate art of pressed flower design in this immersive, two-part workshop — and leave with something truly beautiful, made by your own hands.
Part One opens with an exploration of the art and science behind flower pressing — how to select blooms, understand their structure, and coax the most color and detail from each petal. You'll get hands-on right away, pressing your own flowers and learning the techniques that transform something fleeting into something lasting.
Then, take a breath. A light snack and drink break gives you a moment to relax, connect with fellow guests, and let the creative energy settle before the fun really begins.
Part Two is where it all comes together. With your freshly pressed botanicals, you'll compose one or two small framed pieces — arranging, layering, and designing until it feels just right. No experience necessary; just a love of beautiful things.
All materials and flowers are provided — just bring yourself and a little curiosity.
LUNCH BREAK | 12:00PM - 1:30PM
Explore the local food scene at your leisure! There are so many incredible spots to enjoy a nourishing lunch and reset for the second workshop!
NATURAL PERFUME MAKING WORKSHOP | 1:30PM - 3:30PM | Instructed by Sarah Yeager of Bloom Lab Perfumerie
Gather your friends and step into the world of botanical perfumery with Bloom Lab Perfumerie.
In this two-hour hands-on experience, you'll explore the art and science behind fragrance blending, learning how top, heart, and base notes work together to create something truly one-of-a-kind. Then you'll put that knowledge to work — hand-blending your very own custom botanical Eau de Parfum, crafted to reflect your personality, your mood, and your moment.
It's equal parts art, science, and self-discovery, wrapped up in great company and a really good time.
No experience needed — just curiosity, an open nose, and a willingness to explore. Whether you're a fragrance enthusiast or simply looking for a unique and creative way to spend the day, this is an experience you'll carry with you long after the last note fades.
All materials included. No prior experience necessary.
Tickets Include:
2-hour guided workshop
Access to 35+ individual natural ingredients across the full spectrum of scents; citrus, woods, green, resinous, spicy, earthy, floral, gourmand, etc
1 × 30ml bottle of your own custom blended, 100% natural eau de parfum
